The hotel had rooms that made a Motel 6 room look like the Ritz Carlton. Although they still had old CRT TVs, the newer air conditioning units were a plus. However, the rooms were beyond filthy with black tubs, dusty carpets, and flickering fluorescent lamps. The service was a mix of extreme rudeness and friendliness. The location was less than desirable, near a dumpy stretch of Lake Michigan. The dining experience needed a huge change, reminiscent of Vegas buffets but lacking service. Despite these issues, the hotel had friendly and supportive staff and was near local casinos.
